This is definitely my first time roleplaying a character as nuanced and subtle as C.C., so there's a good chance of my screwing up. Be blunt, be vicious, be cruel - it all helps me to grow as a person. Comments screened, anon on.

(C.C. is singing. She has clearly been practicing, but as an inexperienced singer, she misses several beats, and her pitch is off at the ends of several lines. Still, her general poise comes across, as well as her natural smugness, but she doesn't quite capture the pining of Mrs. Lovett.)

Practicing is going well, I should think. (She sounds smug - she thinks she's better than she is, but she's also working to prove she can do this, mainly to avoid being mocked and because she hates failing, despite her laziness.)
